The city

Greece’s second city and a crossroads for more than 2,300 years. Roman arches, Byzantine churches listed by UNESCO, Ottoman baths and a waterfront made for evening walks all sit within a short stroll of each other.
It is also a student city with a famous food scene, and Greeks will tell you, with some justification, that the best bougatsa in the country is eaten here for breakfast.

Thessaloniki Airport (SKG) has direct flights from many European cities and is about 19 km from the hotel, roughly 25 to 30 minutes by taxi.
Weather
Late June and early July are warm and sunny, with daytime highs usually around 30°C. Pack light clothes, sunglasses and something for the air conditioning.
