Cancellations
Cancellations made on or before 28 May 2027 will be refunded less the €100 administration fee. Cancellations made after that date will not be refunded. However, you can transfer your ticket to a colleague at no cost. No Shows will not be refunded.

Is five minutes really enough?
Yes. Think of it as the trailer, not the film. Your discussant has read the whole paper, and the ten minutes of discussion are where you get the value.
Do I have to be a discussant?
Yes, every presenter discusses one other paper in their session. It takes about an hour of reading and it is the best way to get a careful reader in return.
Can I attend without presenting?
Of course. Register as a delegate and join any session.
Can I present online?
No. BOSS is in person only.
Will my paper be published?
BOSS is non-archival. Only abstracts appear in the programme, so you are free to submit your paper to any journal.
How many papers can I present?
Up to [two] as presenting author. You can be a co-author on as many as you like.
Do I need to be a member of anything?
No. There is no membership fee.
Can I get a visa invitation letter or a certificate of attendance?
Yes. Invitation letters are issued after payment; certificates are available in the app after the conference.
Can I bring my partner?
Yes, with an accompanying person ticket that covers every social event.
What should I wear?
Smart casual throughout. The gala dinner is a little smarter, but you will be dancing, so choose shoes accordingly.
